Guaifenesin (Mucinex and Robitussin??)

Question

Can it really help with CM? Going to be taking my first round of clomid starting on Saturday. So want to make sure I have my best chance of getting pregnant. And read  Clomid can cause your cm to dry up a bit and Guaifenesin can give you better cm. Is this true or is it a myth?

Maybe just ask your doctor for a safe way to increase cm or ask if this is safe? I am so reluctant to take anything even if people swear up and down that it is fine we are all different and that could be the make or break for you. I’d check with a doctor before changing anything!

I did it this month due to meds drying up my cm. TMI, but I'm really wet down there. I take one tab on the morning and one at night.  I started 3 days ago and am supposed to ovulate over the weekend so will stop Sunday. I also added preseed.  I'll let you know in 2 weeks if it works 😉

If your having cm issues try using preseed. I don’t think taking medication when you don’t need it is good. You also need to make sure it’s purely guaifenesin. Some products also have other ingredients in them that can actually dry you up. I read about doing this when ttc and realized this was one of the more redic methods.

I’ve never used it for that purpose, but my friend did take it when she was sick over the summer, and she said it definitely increased her CM. She ended up getting pregnant in July and is due any day.
