When to test?

I'm sure that some of you use Ovia another ovulation and fertility app. AF is due on Tuesday. But Ovia says that I can take a pregnancy test tomorrow. I really want to but am worried if it's negative I'll be really disappointed. I ovulated on the 31st of August so the 10 DPO window is up. I need advice or support. Has anyone used Ovia and tested when they said and had BFp? Should I wait until I actually miss my period.
