not safe to drink ?

do you think my mom can consume this she is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict , i'm getting mixed reviews online considering it's only 0.5%.. i suggested her to drink it not realizing it's fermented.. i'm 18 and can drink it so why wouldn't she ?

As a recovering addict and alcoholic myself, i love kombucha but i do notice it kind of triggers me so i tend to stay away from it. As it tastes kinda like some beers. I think it all depends on her, as the alcohol content is so low that it would be like drinking non alcoholic bet or wine(they contain a very miniscule amount as well). It will depend on if it triggers her or not. Personal preference if you will.

I love kombucha.. I don't think it's going to trigger you into wanting to have an alcoholic beverage.
