My late labor story ☺️
I’m posting this a bit late but life with an infant is crazy (most days) 😂 It’s a bit long, sorry!
My due date was January 2nd but for some reason I knew my little princess would be born before then. My gut has been right my whole pregnancy, so why wouldn’t it be now?
Around the first week of December I had went to the hospital because of what I thought, my water possibly breaking? But it was just my discharge. It was so watery and very uncomfortable because it felt I was peeing myself constantly. That trip to the hospital started my daily trip to the hospital that week, it was a Wednesday. The next day I was in a lot of pain, like intensified cramps, note, I was 35 weeks at this point. So I went back to the hospital, they checked me and I was 75% effaced and 2cm dilated. They told me she’d be here between any day now and a few weeks, I was in early labor. Man that sucked, for about a week I was dealing with the contractions and back labor, the next day I had to go in for the steroid shot in case if she came early. I ended up back at the hospital that Saturday, due to the pain. I was 4cm dilated but they didn’t want to keep me since I still had a bit to go.
Monday rolls around, at 6:30am I lost my plug, so I was like okay.. we’re getting there lol and I go about my day. Later that night me, my fiancé and his family went to the movies. The back pains were so intense but since I’ve been in pain for so long, I was almost used to it. So we got home and I tried to go to bed, that was a no go. The pain was way worse than it has been, I could barely talk, so we went to the hospital around 10:30. Guess what! I was 8cm dilated. I had that “oh shit” moment, this was happening. I get situated and all of that fun stuff.
The nurse was surprised I was handling it so well, but I mean, was I really though? Lmao, I’ve been dealing with this for almost a week so I was kind of used to it. When I’m in pain, I’m silent, but thank god for the epidural! Finally, relief!
So they broke my water around 4:30am, and at 5:30 they came in and said it was time. Another “oh shit, this is happening” moment 😂
We welcomed Isabelle Rose into the world at 6:42am on December 11th, I went from pushing and calm to bawling my eyes out once I saw her. She was 7’14oz, could you imagine what she would have been if I had carried to term!? My big baby, and now she is 3 months and 14’11lbs, she is my world, my love, my everything 💕

I love my little happy baby so freaking much ♥️
