Not feeling kicks. Going to labor & delivery??

Question

If you didn’t feel 10 kicks an hour, how did you get to labor and delivery? Did you go to the ER first and then they sent you up there? How does that work? What did they do once you was in labor & delivery? Was everything fine with the baby or did they induce you that day?
I have an anterior placenta too.

Babies do sleep in utero and aren’t constantly moving. Try drinking ice water or something sweet like apple juice...

I just went to the office and had an ultrasound. My ob said 5 kicks in an hour and at the max give baby 2 hours. She moved while doing the ultrasound and I didn’t feel her. Not sure what’s up with my insides!! But she’s perfectly healthy!

How far along are you? Have you tried to drink cold ice water and laying on your left side?

I think it depends on the hospital. At my hospital, you go the the ER and they check you in and then send you up to L&D.

When I went in I just went straight to labor and delivery (I injured my tailbone in 5th grade and the baby and hormones shifted things, re-injuring it). Normally you can just tell them what the problem is and they’ll assess you. You shouldn’t have to go to ER. Labor and delivery does more than just deliver babies. They help with other issues since they are more familiar with pregnancy than an ER would be.

How far along are u? After 20 some weeks my dr told me just go straight to labor and delivery. They will probably hook u up to a machine and monitor the baby and give u a button to push every time u feel movement
