Could this be insurance fraud

My ex used my name to get insurance because he'd gone through every insurance company and after a while ended his coverage and didn't pay the remaining balance.

Well he did the same thing to my name.

There is a balance of $373.77 left and it's been sent to collections under my name.

I never had any of my own cars under this policy he had his and I've got proof that it's his car. Even used his own username and password or whatever create the account and his debit card to pay for it.

Honestly I'm just wondering if I could maybe Sue and small claims for this amount and maybe go for insurance fraud?

I'd go ahead and pay it but I don't have that money to spend on something that wasn't even for me. I've got a couple thousand in medical expenses that aren't even close to being paid off as well.

Not to mention I do have text evidence saying he would pay the balance but he never did.
