Negative amnicator delivery

My birth story is sort of frustrating, for me at least
I was 36wks and 5 days, my boyfriend and I decided to stay over at his moms to watch his little cousin that night. At around 5:10am I woke up to pee and after I finished I stood up and suddenly I started leaking, I stood for a second and surveyed that situation because I wasn’t convinced. I soaked a towel that was on the floor then I planned my next move. I darted a few feet to a hall closet, grabbed another towel and went back to the room we were sleeping in. I sat on the bed, with the towel and decided to wake up my boyfriend, who was supposed to work at 7. I shook him and said “Babe, Can you get up please? I think my water broke” Cue him snapping awake and jumping out of bed. I gave him a quick run down of what happened then I called my midwife who told me to come in and get checked at 8:30am when the clinic opened (it was 5:30am at the time). I had soaked the second towel I was sitting on and I was having light contractions at this point, We called my boyfriends mom, who-as a 911 operator-I assumes would be good at being calm, but she immediately started to get excited and say she would be home soon. We left her house at 7am when she got back from work, then we headed home to quickly pack a hospital bag just in case. By the time we made it the midwife clinic it was 9:30am. I got checked with the amnio swab, and the microscope-fern test. Both came back negative. I walked around the office and got re-checked, still negative. By then I wasn’t leaking anymore I also wasn’t dilated. I was told to go home and walk around, sleep whatever. So we left and went to Walmart to pick up a few things we were missing, by then the contractions were bad enough I didn’t want to walk around anymore so we went home to relax. I had an ultrasound scheduled that day and my midwife said she wanted to check the fluid level on it, so I get the scan and at around 6pm my midwife calls to ask if I can come back to the hospital (where I did the scan) so she can consult with an OB because my fluid level was slightly low and they wanted to do a Non-stress test. I came back to the hospital for 7pm and went to get checked, I got swabbed again and again it was negative, so they still told me that my water didnt break and I had probably peed myself. They had put on the monitors and they showed I was having contractions. The non-stress test was fine. The OB finally came in, he was the only male medical professional, besides the anaesthesiologist. He decided to do an internal exam and I no longer ever want a male doctor again, It was the most painful thing I remember from that night. After I was told by my midwife “He probably swept your membranes at the same time” I was mad, I didn’t agree to that, and wasn’t told and it really freaking hurt. I was told I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced, and that they wanted to induce me and start running antibiotics. I got my IV and was told to walk around while they waited for a bed to open. I walked for a while then finally got a room. I planned on being mobile but I just didn’t want to move at all, I stayed sitting up on my bed, freezing throughout contractions until I was 4-5cm, then I finally asked for an epidural so I could hopefully sleep. My boyfriend held me while they placed the needle (I jumped when I got poked and I thought I was going to be paralysed) After it kicked in I was finally able to sleep for a few hours, since it was already past midnight. When I woke up I was in agony on my left side, my epidural wore off on the left. My midwife called the anaesthesiologist to give me a second dose, but it didn’t work on the left. She checked my progress and I was 8cm dilated, she offered for them to replace the epidural but I was so scared of moving when they placed it, and tired of dealing with it that I just said it’s fine. Not long after she checked me again and said I was 10cm and I could push. I couldn’t tell if I was making progress, and the midwife was too upbeat for me to actually know. And eventually I snapped at her for saying “you have to push” I swore and told her to shut up. She told me that I could push hard and have him in 30 minutes or I’d be pushing for 3 hours. I didn’t really care how long I was going to push at that point. I was thirsty so I focused on if I finish then I can have the water on the table finally. A few pushed later and his head came out, I removed them saying he had hair, then the midwife seemed kinda panicky and told me to push, I wasn’t concerned but I listened and he was born right then. (I found out later she was concerned because babies with just their heads out are liable to get stuck and need to be pulled out with forceps or pushed back in to attempt c-section) The midwife pulled him out at exactly 6:59am. He was only 6lbs 12oz. They placed him on my chest, and then transferred him to a warming stationed to be cleaned. Then he latched for the first time, drank hungrily and fell asleep. My midwife said the placenta had an extra lobe, which she said meant I could have ended up with twins at first, that would’ve been a shock. We named him Bradyn
