New Job

Jordyn`s Mom
Yesterday I was offered a new job 🙌 thank God, because I lost my other job that was a work at home job, after I had my LO. I'm happy to be starting work this week, but I'm nervous about asking to go pump. The job that I accepted is at an auto body shop, there's only one other female that wil be working there as well, and I'll be the receptionist, so I'm sure it'll be hard to go off for 15mins or so every few hours. I'll be working 10hrs a day, so I'm going to need to be able to pump at least 3 times a shift. Do anyone have any suggestions how to talk to my supervisor about it? Thanks

Don't be afraid to ask! It is a medical necessity

I think legally they have to allow you to do it, so be confident. I like the other suggestion about offering a solution when you approach your boss. Don't be embarrassed, just be matter of fact, and I'll bet your boss will understand!

I've been told when you go to your boss with a problem, present some solutions along with it. So maybe you can ask someone to cover you during that time, or forward calls to your phone during then, or once on a lunch break, ect. That's what I would do at least. Good luck!
