I’m currently on doxycycline for an infection under my skin... my doctor knows were TTC also. But ive been on them about 3/4 weeks now, I was due to come on my period 18/03. It still hasn’t arrived and still getting BFN.
Can antibiotics stop your period?

Being sick in general can delay ovulation which will result in a  late period.

It’s most likely the infection vs the antibiotics causing the late period. Anytime something changes with your body it has a chance or messing up your cycle. The few times I have been really sick or managed to really injure myself my period was late a few days.
On a different note though I just wanted to say to be very careful with that medicine and watch for any type of allergic reaction. When I was 19 my dermatologist put me in solodyn for acne. It’s a part of the cycline family. I had a severe allergic reaction to it (hives and throat swelled shut; my mom had to call 911). I’ve never been allergic to anything before but the few doctors that took care of me said that medicines in the cycline family can create allergic reactions in a lot of people, even if they’ve never been allergic to something before. 
I have to have an HSG dye test done tomorrow and my specialist wanted me to take an antibiotic before and after to reduce the risk of infection; I saw on the sheet they had doxycycline. I asked if that was a form or tetracycline and they said yes. I told them about my reaction to the solodyne and they said I absolutely could not have the doxycycline then.
