Itching

My boyfriend often says after we have sex with and without a condom that his dick itches .....at first I thought it was the condom and thought he might be allergic to the kind we were using we switched , still the same problem, tried unprotected and it itches after sex and sometimes just randomly and he was a virgin before I met him and I'd only been with virgins before Him what could it be?!
