How do you wash baby clothes?

Im going to wash the baby clothes for the first time today and I’m scared that I’m gonna shrink all of them and ruin her clothes. How should I separate all her clothes and blankets? What settings do I put the washer and dryer on? Sorry if this seems like a lot. Thank you in advance !

I just used ALL clean and clear, you can get a big thing of it at Sam's so in the long wrong you save more instead of buying the baby kind. Plus its great on your clothes too. I washed the clothes on warm and dried it on the "more dry" setting. Some clothes do shrink, but that's just how it is 🤷‍♀️ just like some baby clothes actually run smaller or bigger than they say.

Wash on a delicate cycle, watch out for colors with stuff that's brand new in case something might bleed.  Don't worry about shrinking.  I just wash on delicate so it's gentle on the clothes.  Dry low heat, again, just to not wear the clothes out faster.  I wash my clothes the same.  I use a delicates bag for the socks when they're newborn size bc they're so tiny.  Then they don't get lost in the washer.  Also, use a fragrance free detergent.  Fragrance can be so harsh on their skin.  Congrats!! Getting the clothes ready is SO much fun!!

I just put them in the washer. And then the dryer. If you don’t shrink your clothes you won’t shrink theirs it’s the same materials.

I just sorted by colour and used baby laundry detergent. I didn’t dry anything hand knit but I threw most things in the dryer. Just be careful if Velcro, it can stick to delicate fabrics and pull.
