how do you say i love you the first time?

so me and my boyfriend have been dating almost 6 months and let’s just say we’ve been taking things pretty slow. I was kind of waiting for him to say it first but that hasn’t happened so how do I say “i love you” first without a) making him feel pressured to say it back and b) making it cute but also not a huge deal? any advice is appreciated 🤗

It’ll happen on its own! I thought that advice was bs until it happened to me. I’d never said it to a boyfriend before my current one and I spent forever agonizing over how to say it and when and all that, then I broke down out of nowhere in the car on a date and I said it while crying into his lap lol. Scared the shit out of me but I knew it was the right time. Turned out he had already planned on saying it to me within the span of a few days after that.

I don’t know maybe after you hang out one day you could text him and be like “can I tell you something?” And then be like “I love you” but also maybe don’t say that because I’ve never said I love you to anyone and tbh I probably wouldn’t do it that way 😂😂 but I mean hey it’s still an idea
