In law moving in.

I’m 37 weeks pregnant and recently my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer. My SO is her only son that is financially stable to take care her and since I’m going on maturity leave, we both decided it’s okay for her to move in since she’s starting chemo for 2 months since I’m going to be home to watch over her. Well long story short I talked to my mom about it and my mom totally disagrees and thinks that it can cause friction between our family and relationship. My mom got me thinking now since I thought about the same thing and was apprehensive about her staying long term. I just don’t want to hurt my boyfriend feelings because he’s trying so hard to help his mom and be here for me and our child. Advice please!
