Why is my exs new girl similar to me?

I'm healing from my breakup 4 years ago. I know I know move on and I'm working on that, I've been in rebound. I just noticed my exs new girl is a lot like me. I lived In AZ now live in WA which I have for a while and he knew of my move before getting with her. She lived in WA and now lives in AZ. Close in age and similar interests as me. He's offered to meet up a few times in the pst and I've declined. Idk I kinda hope we have a future together but his new girl might be his future. But anyways, have you noticed your ex goes for someone similar to you?
