AF or pregnant

Hello,

I figured I would ask here. I am always on time with AF, like clockwork with very little symptoms, mild cramps if any at all. I was due for AF yesterday and I was surprised when it didn’t happen. I have been having tenderness in my breast. I did take a home pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Today I have a killer headache and hardly spotting when I wipe. With AF I don’t normally spot I just go right into it. I am actively TTC for the first time. But the negative test threw me off. Could the light spotting be the start of AF or something more? Sorry for all the questions.
