Velamentous cord insertion?

Anyone have Any experience with this. Im 21 weeks and my Dr told me I'm going to be monitored very closely, but didnt say much else. I looked it up online and am finding many others had to have emergency c sections, had several restrictions during pregnancy, etc.

I had it with my daughter. I just had a couple extra scans to make sure the cord and placenta didn't get near my cervix and went ahead with my scheduled c section at 39 weeks. She had healthy growth :)

There’s a velamentous cord insertion support group on Facebook, it’s extremely helpful.

It was confirmed today that I had velamentous. For my case it was discovered that the umbilical cord is away from the cervix which is best case scenario for VCI but I am still considered high risk and will be more closely monitored with multiple ultrasounds to just keep an eye on growth. As of now I can still go into labor and delivery vaginally at full term.
