Facing jail time for a mistake at work? 😓

so basically I sold cigarettes to an undercover minor at work (in Kansas) because I asked her birthday and she said “02” but I heard “92” for her birth year. So now I have to go to court unless they decide they have more important stuff going on and dont press charges. If charges are pressed I’ll have like a $200-$400 fine and 6 months unsupervised probabtion most likely but I'm already on unsupervised probation right now for another month and that's a violation to my probation that I have right now I'm pretty sure? so I'm scared of what's going to happen what do you guys think or if this has happened to you what was the result?
