Baby hammocks anyone?

Megan
I'm intrigued by baby hammocks I've seen on various blogs.
Supposedly they sway when the baby moves and helps them to sleep more naturally? That sounds really nice!
I guess a negative is that they outgrow them by 6 months max. But they outgrow bassinets or side-sleepers by then too.
Thoughts? Experiences?
Edit: I found a Kanoe hammock and stand for 200$, which is a lot more than a free bassinet (I'm sure one would have surfaced eventually). It's my one big baby splurge. I suspect I can avoid a crib purchase for a while too, but we will see when babe becomes more mobile. At least the height adjusts quite a lot!
I'm hoping that it's my intuition telling me that this will be a good fit for our baby. I'm going to use it like a bassinet in the bedroom, because I don't want her near my sweetheart's comforter. Maybe we will get lucky and this will really help her sleep.
Otherwise, I feel confident that I can resell it for the same price.
