My Weight Loss Journey

Around the summer of 2017, my doctor and I discussed me trying to qualify for bariatric surgery. My medical insurance would only pay for me to go to the University of Washington and we proceeded to “get all the ducks in a row” for them and my insurance. I had to loose 10% of my weight which was 330 and do appointments with my dietician and counseling etc. I did it all and lost the weight. So, then my doctor sent all my paperwork into the UW who said everything was good. But, their waiting list was so full they couldn’t take anymore patients outside of the Seattle area. So, my doctor told me, “You know what? Just keep doing what you’re doing and keep going on loosing weight.” Well, it’s 2019, and I have made a collage of a couple of pictures showing my progress. I’m now down to 230 which is 💯 pounds from where I was. I realize I’ve done it slower and in increments of 10 lbs at a time over the 2 years now. But, I did it! And I’ve dropped from a size 26W to 16W and from a 50DD to a 44DD. I feel so much better though. And I plan to keep going towards my goal. I’d like to be about 150 lbs or so. I’d be so thrilled with that. My Type 2 Diabetes is doing better with less medication and my blood pressure is perfect with no medication. It’s such a relief and you wanna know where I got most of my motivation and inspiration from? Other peoples journey stories. Especially the 600lb Life series and other shows like it. I also as a Christian give God all the glory and credit for my success. Well. I hope this helps someone else in their journey and always your body is amazing and beautiful no matter your size but being healthy no matter your size is the most important thing and loving the skin you’re in.
