Hey mummies, my daughter has a paediatrician appointment tomorrow but my husband and I are sick I'm thinking about cancelling because I don't want to pass it onto any other children but I'm torn because it was hard getting an appointment and we'd probably have to wait a few more weeks to get in...
Our daughter has had her urine, fecal matter and blood tested because she isn't gaining the weight they want her to but our doctor seems to think it's genetics due to my husband and I being petite but just wants a paediatrician to check her out.
What should I do?

My peds office has mask for you to put on if your sick, and a separate waiting area for sick patients/parents.... If there are concerns about your baby, please keep your appts..

If it's that hard to get an appointment, I'd think about a new pediatrician and having the test results sent there. What if it were an emergency and you needed her to be seen that day?

Could you ask for a telephone appointment? They call you to discuss results at the time the appointment is scheduled.

My pediatricians office had a seperate entrance for those with illness. You should see if yours has one and if it would still be ok to come.

Why isn't she seeing a pediatrician regularly in the first place? And if she's gaining weight regularly just not as much as they want her to then she should be fine. My daughter was in the lower percentiles (like 40 and under) until she turned one and then now she's average.
