Do I really need a stroller?

Question

Ftm here and I am questioning if I really need a stroller. I live in Phoenix....it's really hot half the year so no walks for most of the year. I feel like I'll just carry the baby into the gym, grocery store etc....is a stroller absolutely necessary? Please comment! Thank you ;)

We live between Phoenix and Tucson. We used a stroller for our youngest last year. But only when we would go to the mall or somewhere there weren't any carts. For our next one, we are getting a stroller mostly because we will have 3 under the age of 4. (Come March, we'll have our newborn, an almost 2 year old and an almost 4 yr old in May)

I wear my babies most of the time until they're walking, with my daughter that was until 7 mo. I had a BabyHawk mei tai carrier with her but with baby #2 I'm getting a Chimparoo. There's TONS of carriers to choose from. We didn't really use a stroller till later on, when she would get tired of walking but too big for me to wear all the time (I'm 4'6!) so it was nice for the mall to put our shopping bags in etc

If you can wear baby I would. We bought a travel system for our son and it rarely got used. Got used at the beginning because it was new and the car seat attached to it so was handy when he was asleep. But then we got the carrier soon after and that put a stop to it. 
Nearly 3 years later and we are now using a double with the nearly 3 year old and a 6 month old. Just easier when out and about

It all depends on your parenting style. I have 8 kids and have probably only used the stroller a handful of times with each. They are just so cumbersome and inconvenient. But others use theirs daily.

I live in Tucson and I plan on getting a stroller. So much more convenient for the mall or should you want to go to the park when baby is older. My kids used their strollers til almost 4 years old.

I use my stroller all the time.... so much so, that I got a Jogging Travel system for this baby, and will be jogging with it after I'm healed up from my cSection.. I live in FL so it's hot here also but I'm outside all the time with my boys (6 and 2) anyways so the stroller works for me... my oldest plays sports and I get into it so I imagine if I'm wearing/holding baby and I jump up because he scored I'll wake baby.... Also wearing baby makes me sweat more when outside and the stroller is easy when they're in the infant car seat...

Only if you go to the mall, fair, the zoo, things like that then you can clip on the car seat to the stroller when they are still little. I got mine on Craig's list for 50$ car seat and stroller combo
