Empty gestational sac

Gwendolyn • 19 | mommy

My first day of my last period was January 26th, so I went in to my first appointment thinking I was roughly 8 weeks. Only for them to see an empty gestational sac. He said he couldn’t tell if I was just earlier then I thought, or if I had a blighted ovum. I’m trying to keep hope. I’m going to get blood work later but I’m thinking the earliest I could be is 6 weeks, and just ovulated around valentines day. But would I be able to see a baby at 6 weeks? I’m confused and not sure what to do just seems like a waiting game for me. He scheduled me to do blood work 3 days apart and prescribed me prenatal, and an appointment in 2 weeks. Is it normal to not see baby at 6 weeks?
