Pumping more milk?

Question

I am producing enough milk to feed my son, but not pumping enough to start saving/storing. Do you ladies have any suggestions?? I am currently only pumping less than an ounce every time.

I never pumped more than 3 ounces and my son was on the boob as well as me pumping a pump will not get as much milk out as a baby will the suction is different learned this in breastfeeding classes and some women just don't respond well to a pump

How many times a day are you pumping?  Increase the number of times and that should help. I went from pumping 3 times to 4 times a day and increased by about 10 ounces a day. I'm also renting a hospital grade pump. I donate my extra to a milk bank that helps preemies since my son was a preemie born 5 weeks early. When I first started pumping when he was born I pumped every 2-3 hours. And be sure to pump until you are completely empty (a couple minutes past that).

They have supplements to produce more milk at the motherhood maternity store, I'm sure you can buy some online.

Up your water intake. Making sure you're hydrated makes a huge difference. Also, eat oatmeal. It helps if you eat it regularly.
