Normal?

Anyone else newborn got flaky skin? 
He’s 2 weeks old and he seems to be peeling on all over his body! We’ve used lotion but doesn’t seem to be doing anything! 
Is this normal?!

Completely normal! Their skin is adjusting to the outside world and air, it’s used to being in fluid. Get a good lotion, it may or may not help but I noticed on all of my kids (4) it went away after 3ish weeks

Try the eucerin cream lotion. It works wonders. My sons skin is this way as well.

Totally normal. I used for my little one cream from mustela 2 times the day.  One time after bath and one time during the day.

yes. they dont need lotion on it..its just peeling skin that needs to come off, and will do on its own.

Oh yeah. My son is shedding skin like a salamander. It’s everywhere.

So normal. They basically shed a whole layer of skin now that they’re on the outside and
Not soaking in liquid where they lived for 9mos! You don’t need to use anything but lotion is fine.

Mine had very flaky skin for the first two weeks. Before I could ask about it his pediatrician looked at him and then told me that the flaky skin was perfectly normal and not to worry. He said I could try using a baby lotion if I wanted to, but that I also didn't have to do anything as it would just slowly come off in time.
