39 weeks pregnant pelvic pressure

Hi!

I am 39 weeks pregnant, I will be 40 weeks on Thursday. Last night I couldn’t sleep due to pelvic pressure and pain. Today it is pretty bad. When I am laying down or standing up the pressure and pain is wild. I have also been having contractions all day, they are irregular and don’t last too long. Does this mean labor is coming soon? This is my first child so I have no idea what to expect. My contractions feel like a period cramp on steroids. Any advice is appreciated!
