Progesterone shots or vaginal pills .. I would like input on people who have taken these .

I am 14 weeks very. SOON! And I have ultrasounds every 6 weeks to check my cervix I have always had a shortening cervix the doctor calls it a incompetent cervix ... I went into preterm labor with my son 3 x but they stoped it . I was put on strict bedrest and my husband was flown home from ship ... my son was born 40 weeks 5 days .

I went into preterm labor 4 x with my daughter and they were able to stop it 3 x but the 4th she came at 35 weeks .. no heath problems

just low blood sugar & needed lights for jaundice .

My O B the one who handles my whole pregnancy is worried I will go into preterm labor again because of my cervix shortening past and it’s always between 23-27 weeks it started to shorten .. she’s worried I’ll be in labor before 35 weeks so she said after my anatomy scan at 20 weeks I will be prescribed theses pills and they are inserted vaginally every night close to the cervix as possible .

Then I’ll start strict bedrest at 20 weeks until 34 weeks ...

my only concern is how does that pills not slip out when you urinate . what If I don’t get it close to the cervix ?

Do they actually work are there side effects ?

Anyone have a risk of preterm labor with 1st baby 2nd baby did you end up having another preterm baby ?

How did you manage bedrest with 2 kids ? LOL when I had one I failed my bed rest.

Are the shots better then the pills ?
