Terrified that I have skin cancer

So I have a mole on the back side of my hip that I’ve had for as long as I can remember. I’m 18 years old. And I felt a little scab on it but i remember it was itchy because of the underwear i had on a few weeks ago and i must have broken the skin from itching. But I picked off the scab and put aquafor on it then had my husband look at it closer and he said it looks fine but he took a pic and this is what it looks like. I want to get it checked out but i don’t want to hear that I have cancer... but I don’t want it to progress and kill me. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and I am so scared to leave her behind 😔
