Still early but tested anyways....

I was still 9 before af but I still tested and it came back negative. My boyfriend and I have been trying for 5 months and both have kids from prior marriages.... I am kind of hoping this time I miss af and get pregnant, I am just worried I keep getting my hopes up and nothing is going to happen. Any suggestions or advice to help would be great, thanks ladies!
