Are you bringing your own pillow and blanket to the hospital?

I already feel so extra because I've packed so much stuff but I hate being away from home and not sleeping in my own bed. Hospital sheets are so crunchy and smell like bleach. I'm torn.

There are no blankets in my home that I would be ok to get the amount of blood, vaginal fluid, and vomit that occurs during labor and delivery. I went through several blankets and gowns during my first delivery. I can see getting a comfy pillow though. Just for that day.

Hospital pillows and blankets suck. I want to be comfortable after delivery so I’m bringing them. Not sure how long I’ll even be kept in hospital tho? There’s so much uncertainty. Lol. Which is hard for me, I like to know everything beforehand.

Not blankets but my neck pillow lol seriously this is my 2nd baby and I have to stay over for 48hrs so I packed heavy......IDC it's happening lol my husband doesn't mind lugging all my junk lol

Unexpectedly I ended up staying overnight Sunday for monitoring, the pillows were shit, the bed was a rock and I ended up with a rash from the detergent the bedding was washed in. Defo planning to bring my own pillow and a double bed sheet to line between the hospital ones.

Not a blanket, but those thin, plastic hospital pillows just don't work for me. My own pillow will at least give a little comfort from home...

I’m bringing a blanket. In my previous deliveries I’ve gotten the chills and the hospital blankets didn’t cut it. I won’t be putting it directly on though, but over the hospital blankets during labor and then using it to sleep during recovery. I’ll also be bringing my maternity pillow as it makes sleeping a lot more comfortable on my side and might help with back pain during contractions.
