Assumed consent with organ donation. Do you agree with it?
They just passed a bill in NS Canada which assumes consent to organ donation. Meaning, if you did not opt out by submitting your opt out to the organ donation association and you die, they will assume you wanted to donate your organs. Currently in most places you have to be registered as an organ donor and if you pass they will use your organs. This new bill will take registered donors organs along with anyone who didn’t opt out. Assumed consent. Do you agree?
