How did your contractions start?

How did y’all’s contractions first start? I’m 37+5 and had my 2nd membrane sweep today. I started having some period like cramps that radiated all around the nether region and into my back and they lasted about 40 seconds each and we’re about 2 1/2 minutes apart for 30 minutes so I got up and went for a walk and started having intense Braxton Hicks contractions and now I’m not feeling anything. I’m so confused. pregnancy is the worst lol. Help!

My doctor did a membrane sweep and within an hour of walking around after, I started having intense cramps/back pain. I had 1 contraction that lasted my entire labor and steadily got more intense. Until the GLORIOUS epidural about 9 hours later.

Mine started as light period cramps about 20 mins apart. I had some while I was asleep that woke me up but I would fall right back asleep so idk how far apart they were but when I finally woke up they were that far apart. That was at 1pm. By 11pm they were every 7 mins and starting to get a long stronger, I couldn’t walk or talk through them and then they started radiating to my back really bad.

Mine started strong at 5 minutes apart and ramped up from there. Baby came 5 and 1/2 hours after the first one. From what I’ve read on here it seems like a membrane sweep often causes false labour
