this might be kind of a stupid question. so i know that they say girls typically get their period around the same age their mother did but not always. i also know that every pregnancy is different, but are there certain parts of pregnancy that some women get that their mothers got too? like how extreme the morning sickness is? prevalence of stretch marks? etc?

No. How your mom experienced pregnancy doesn’t predict how you’ll experience pregnancy. My mom didn’t have any nausea or morning sickness whatsoever with either of her pregnancies. I just had my first and had it all 9 months.

My mom has barely any stretch marks, and it's the same with me. We both just have a couple on the sides. As far as morning sickness, my mom didn't have much with either pregnancy, and with the one I've had so far, it was miserable. Vomited nearly every day, multiple times.
