Do You Vote in Local Elections?

Where I live we had our runoff election for mayor, treasurer, and aldermen yesterday. We had a historically low turnout at only 29% of eligible voters showing up at polls. I’m wondering what’s causing voter apathy, particularly on a local level. One ward was decided by only 23 votes, and we’re a city of millions.

So, do you participate in local elections?

Why or why not? If not, is there anything that would make you want to participate in the future?
