Brown spotting? :(

Hi ladies,

​I'm 14 weeks 1 day. On Tuesday I noticed I had some menstrual like cramps on and off all day...and that night around 7 I had 3 drops of light brown spotting in my underwear. I called my doc and they got me in next morning to check me and baby out. Baby was fine via doppler with the same heart rate it's had all along, and my urine and cervical fluid came back infection free. My cervix is also closed...doc told me everything looked fine and only to come back if I see red blood. Since then I've had the brown spotting everyday, and the menstrual like cramps...I'm just worried as everything I've read said this can be a threatened miscarriage. If so, why didn't my doc do an u/s? Should I call back on Monday and insist on one? Has anyone experienced this and delivered a healthy baby? I had no spotting in the first trimester at all!

Got my doppler today, baby's heart rate was 167 ? still going strong!

I ended up ordering a doppler today, I thought it might help! Hopefully baby is easy to find with it...he/she is usually fairly easy to find at my appts so far

Spotting and cramping has stopped since Saturday...I now occasionally get a cramp when I move positions too fast but I don't have the brown which is good. I'm just sort of nervous though, I usually feel some flutters and haven't really since Saturday night. My symptoms like nausea is better too but that was on the upswing last week so I'm hoping it's just because I've hit the magic week. My doc always said it would be like a light switch...I just don't know how I'm gonna make it til sept 10th to hear baby again....I'm thinking of buying a doppler. I can't just call and ask them to do one with no reason aside from peace of mind? I feel like a crazy person :(

I started getting bad cramps last night at 12w5d but no spotting. Some good rest helped, hope u are doing better!

It sound like all is ok, from things I have read some women have spotting like this throughout and like your doctor said it is when it is red that it is normally more concern. That being said I would def give the dr a call and have a follow up. A little piece of mind can go a very long way ?
