Has anyone ever had a blood test be wrong about the gender?

My husband is worried that the blood test is wrong about our babies gender. We didn’t have one done for our son but with our second baby we thought it would be fun to know early. The results came back as a baby girl which my husband and I both want. I explained to him that it’s like 99% accurate and he still says he just can’t believe it. So if you have ever had a blood test has it been correct for you?

Blood tests are actually better than an ultrasound, sometimes ultrasounds can be deceiving because there’s so many factors that play into finding out the gender that way, like the tech not knowing how to properly tell, the umbilical cord can be between the baby’s legs, the baby can be moving and turn away, etc.. I definitely wouldn’t worry about it.. you’re having a girl!! 😊

Mine was wrong 😩 We were told boy and then when we got to the anatomy scan the doctor said girl. I’m waiting to see another ultrasound again in a few weeks to confirm girl because I trusted the blood test and was surprised to hear it was wrong. 
I’ve heard a lot of accurate results but also some incorrect results.

I was told it is 100% accurate with a boy result, and 99% accurate for a girl result. It’s pretty much guaranteed to be correct. I would think a blood test would be much more accurate than viewing it during an ultrasound. I’d trust the results for sure!

As long as the blood test is done in a lab the results are over 99% accurate(not 100 because mixed up bloodwork can happen from what ive been told but thats rare). Now those tests people do at home arent as accurate because theres a higher chance of contamination. But at your doctor id say its right.
