Alternating formula with breast milk?

Hey mamas, does anyone else alternate their breast milk with formula? My little one exclusively breast-feeds & I don’t pump. Just curious for the ones who have given their little one formula.... how has it gone?

I used both for the first three weeks while dealing with latching issues and low supply so now she does take either but 98 % breast fed. In our last road trip I realized she has a preference (6months) She totally prefers breast milk though, won’t drop a bit with pumped milk on a bottle but when using formula she spits out half of it down the front of her.

I am always stressing about my milk supply so I asked doctor about maybe supplementing with formula if I ever needed to and he said by this point (baby is 6.5 months) he may not even accept formula because he is so used to breast milk. But who knows! 🤷🏼‍♀️ obviously if you need to, and baby needs to it, then definitely go for it! I was just told to do one for sensitive tummies

I’m the same as I don’t pump, baby is breastfed. I hate pumping. If I’m not around my husband gives our son formula. Luckily he has no issues and takes it fine. Not all babies will do that but no harm in giving it a try. I only do it a couple times a week so my supply does not drop.
