37 Week Breakdown

Had a routine appointment this morning. Since 35 weeks, my doctor has been talking about an induction at 37-39 weeks due to my chronic high blood pressure which can become dangerous in a hurry past 40 weeks. And since that news came in, I've been warning family and boss that I could be out early, but without specifics which is frustrating. So I was really looking forward to this appointment all week hoping for more specifics on the induction/actually getting Ilit scheduled.

My nurse took my blood pressure in a hurry, said "Good!" and hurried me into a room. I found out after that she read my BP at 124/84. It is impossible that my BP was that low. It has been in the high 140s/80s for weeks, at times hitting 160s/100 at home. So her inability to check at the appropriate range (probably because I look active and healthy) pissed me off immediately.

My doctor was busy with a delivery and instead of offering to let me wait, they sent in a NP to take care of my 37 week appointment. She was fine, but couldn't give me any answers about my potential induction in 2 weeks.

Then, as I was scheduling my 38 week appointment, I was pushed to another doctor because mine is going to be out of office next Thurs & Fri. I understand doctors have lives/other responsibilities but its freaking me out that my doctor wants me induced at 39 and the people seeing me at 37 and 38 have no clue (dont seem to read charts or have authority to make decisions for me) about the conversations had between me and my doctor over the past months. So I'm feeling really stressed about how messy this became in a hurry.

When husband and I got to the car after the appointment I couldn't help but cry from the poor management of my conditions.

Just hoping baby takes the wheel and gets us to the hospital before anything goes wrong.
