Ezra finally giving brother attention

Amanda

Ezra finally wanted to be around his brother for the first time in 8 months! It's been hard having my oldest not want anything to do with his brother. When I first brought Phoenix home Ezra practically went into a depression. He wouldn't acknowledge Phoenix, he didn't want him anywhere near him, and he hated when he would make even a small noise. He's getting much better about the noise part and for the first time he actually crawled into the pack n play with his baby brother! Phoenix of course was eating it up because he's been so desperate for his brothers attention. When Phoenix would go to grab Ezra, Ezra would just smile and look at his brother. It was the sweetest thing. I'm so glad they are finally getting a little closer. The whole reason I had a 2nd baby was do Ezra would have a forever friend because I was best friends with my brother. It's awful when you see your toddler so sad every day and wonder did you cause it by having another baby. Everyone had always said, he will come around, month and months and months went by and he didnt. So I was truly starting to think he'd never want to be around him. Phoenix just looks at Ezra with wide eyes, so interested in ever move he makes. You can already see how much he admires his big brother and wants his attention. So when this happened I could have cried! For Ezra to willingly want to play with his brother, it's just a prayer answered ! Just wanted to share these little guys so anyone going through something similar can find a little hope for their babies to be close.
