What are your hospital bag essentials?

First time mom here! Just hit my 2nd trimester and I want to start collecting things for the hospital bag. What were some essential things for you?

I had an emergency c-section and was in the hospital for 5 days. This is everything I used:
Chapstick 
Unscented Hand cream 
Unscented deodorant 
Minimalist makeup and skincare 
Hair ties
Hair brush 
Toothbrush/paste
Shampoo/conditioner 
Nipple cream 
Depends underwear for going home 
Phone charger 
Notepad with a pen 
File folder (for paperwork from the hospital and also to keep extra copies of your birth plan, pediatrician information, etc)
Flip flops 
Portable night light for late night pumping/feeding so you don’t have to turn on all of the lights and wake your husband or baby—-not necessary but very helpful 
Going home outfit for you and baby 
Photo shoot outfit for you and baby (only if you plan to have one done)
Baby blanket for the photo shoot and for going home

We have a product in the UK called “Spritz for bits” which is post baby after care spray for either your c section scar or any scarring, tears or stitches down below. 
If you can get some, it’s amazing! Takes the itch away from any wounds, and is antibacterial and antiseptic.. reducing the risk of infection.

All the other comments cover most of what I would have suggested except:
- chapstick!! (It's sooo dry in hospitals and it's overpriced if you have to purchase in the gift shop)
- depends undies (I read this before I had my son and didn't take it seriously. When I have another baby I will DEFINITELY bring some because they would have been so much more comfortable/less able to cause any leaks/easier to put on than the annoying diaper sized pads they give you after giving birth. I would have been so much more relaxed if I wasn't worrying if things were leaking blood every time I moved in the days following.)

underwear and lots of those big grannie pads, comfy nightgown for yourself and extra blankie for baby (hospitals tend to be too ACd)

Tooth Brush and other bathroom items. (Hospitals usually provide shampoo and soap but you could bring your own.
An extra blanket or pillow. 
Socks and a change of comfortable clothes unless you prefer to wear the hospital gown. 
A going home outfit for baby or a couple other outfits for pictures. 
Your diaper bag with diapers, wipes, formula, bottles. Etc. if not breastfeeding. 
(some hospitals provide all you’ll need for baby mine did.) I’d bring diaper bag to bring home all extra items. 
Snacks for after labor. ❤️
