Advice? Experience?

Question

I'm getting induced on Friday due to gestational hypertension.  I'm dialated to a 2, and am so nervous! Can you girls give me your stories? How it went, how they did it, how long it took? And any advice you want to give! Anything you wish you would have done/known?

Following as I am getting induced today late evening. Well in my case, there is no dilation and my cervix is just soft. Looking forward to some motivation. Good luck to you btw.

I was induced with my first. I was 37 weeks and 2 cm dilated. They started my induction around 5pm by inserting the cervix softening pill (cervidal I believe). It was uncomfortable but Pap smears are really uncomfortable for me as well. The plan was to start me on pitocin in the morning but the pill had jump started my labor so they didn’t give me the pitocin. I got an epidural around 4 cm and it worked perfectly. By noon my doctor broke my water, and I had my son at around 3 pm after 3 pushes. So the whole process was less than 24 hrs without pitocin. I tore a tiny bit but only needed 2 stitches. We went home the next day.

I have had 3 inductions and all of them I started at 1cm dilated and delivered vaginally with no tearing. 
My first lasted 24 hours and pushed for 45 minutes. Baby was 8.14 and 21”
My second was 14 hours and pushed for 6 minutes. Baby did have a shoulder dystocia and nuchal cord. Baby was 9.1 and 20.5”
My third was 10 hours and pushed three times. Baby was 8 lbs and 21.5”

Advice? Experience?
