Brother-In-Law hates me

So I’m posting this here just to vent. My brother in law definitely doesn’t like me. He did up until about 9 months ago. I laughed when he got upset with his son for playing with a doll. I laughed because I felt awkward. It wasn’t a loud laugh it was just one of those awkward I wish I was invisible laughs. My husband and I are super liberal and the child only wanted to play with the doll cause it was new and his sister’s. Since that moment he has acted very cold towards me. I’m trying to not let it bother me, but it does.
