I was wondering if anyone here has had experiences with Cushing Syndrome and using steroid cream?

About 8-10 years ago I was diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis. Treatment was (and always has been) clobetasol (0.05%). In the last year or so i started getting a lot of flare ups, to the point that I was using the cream one to two times a night (applying generously). I was never warned of any side effects (doctor told me to just put as much or little as I want as needed).

Anyways, around September I really started noticing new stretch marks (there was new ones for a while, but it became very apparent to me around September). While I did gain about 15lbs over the course of a year, my hips, inner thighs, and breasts all went from little to no marks, to completely covered. After some research, I realized it was likely because the steroid cream. Since then, I’ve cut back on the cream ( it as it is my only option for treatment, I still over it 1-2 times per week)

Lately now I’ve noticed my face has gotten very chubby (at this point my weight gain is 22lbs, but since my old weight, my diet and exercise have only gotten better).

Anyways, after doing somesearching, I think I may have developed Cushing syndrome.

Looking at the symptoms, I almost all.

I do note I am on an IUD, so that may be some of the reason for the menstrual irregularity. Some of the non circled symptoms might be present, but I’m not certain (for instance, I’ve always been borderline diabetic, and am not sure if I am hypertensive). Also: not listed on the list above, but loss of sex drive is also listed by many other sites, and I definitely have that (in 24 but have little to no sex drive at all).

Anyways: I was wondering if anyone had experience with corticosteroid induced Cushing syndrome / how to manage it / how long after stopping the cortisol cream did the symptoms go down etc.

I also note I am planning to see my doctor to get ask about a cortisol test (but I’m not sure if the now reduced amount of cream being used will skew the results, or if my dr will give me the rest in the first place as he is very old and out of date for most things).

Edit: I’m also semi worried about future issues conceiving as 1) lichen sclerosis already makes it harder, 2) my uninformed doctor put me on deprovera for 5-6years (and I was very young so didn’t know better), which can reduce fertility, and 3) cushings also reduces fertility.
