Do you use a Baby Monitor?

We’re about to transition our 3 week old into their own room as my husband is going back to work next week. We have a fairly small house and we’re not sure if we need a baby monitor.

We have a small house to. I don't like the baby monitors that use the wifi due to many stories of people hacking them.  I have a sound monitor though so if shes in the house and I'm outside in the garage I can hear her.

Only reason we don't use one is because we have a very small house! The head of our bed shares the same wall as my daughter's crib just on the other side. We've never had an issue hearing her at night.

We live in a small apartment too. I put my daughter in her crib just for naps during the day and I love being able to look at her periodically to make sure she’s okay. It stops me from needing to go in her room to check on her all the time and waking her up.

My baby sleeps in our room at night but I use the monitor during the day as he naps in his own room and mainly got it because his 2 year old brother likes sneaking in his room and waking him up lol

My daughter sleeps in the same room as us and my husband and i will watch her on the baby monitor to check on her so we don’t have to get out of bed when she makes sounds.

I have a 1 bedroom apartment right now and the monitor definitely puts my mind at ease when I lay my 2 week old down for his naps in his bassinet during the day. It gives me freedom to do other stuff around the apartment/pump without worrying that he’s rolled over or somehow pulled the swaddle blanket over his face (he loves doing that 🤦🏽‍♀️) without me constantly being in the same room as him

I tried making my daughter sleep in her room with a monitor and it drove me crazy the whole night 😩 I kept looking at it all the time 🤷🏼‍♀️
