I know this is a controversial topics across parents. I honestly never thought I would even consider the idea. However, my son will be 3 in July and I also have a daughter that will be 1 next month. So needless to say, when we are out in public things can get a little crazy!

My son usually does well in the stroller but there are times when we are doing quick trips to the store and such that I don’t want to get the stroller out. I would much rather just put them both in the cart and go.

Recently I had taken just my son to Target. He was being good and had said he wanted to ride on the front of the cart. So I let him. Next thing I knew, he darted! I literally had to leave my cart with all my purchases and chase him from the very back of the store to the front! (Quick little guy!). Again, thankfully my 11 month old wasn’t with us because I honestly don’t know in the moment what I would’ve done. Do I leave her, chase him, etc?!?

So it got me thinking that maybe a backpack such as this would be helpful for when he wants to be a little more independent, while allowing me to make sure everyone is safe at all times. And honestly in today’s world I feel like it’d be safer all around, both from him running off and from someone trying to grab him!
