🚽 🧻 Potty Training 🚽🧻

A.M.M

Ok guys! I just potty trained my toddler... guys. Seriously. DO NOT PUSH IT ONTO YOUR KID. My kid did it in 3 days. If your kiddo doesn’t get the hang of it with in 2 days. Just stop and try again the next month. Some suggestions that helped us and how I knew my kid was ready. The last two months he has been waking up in the morning and from naps completely dry. He also would go a long time with a dry diaper during the day. This means they know how to control their bladder, they can hold their pee till it is full instead of peeing when ever. Another thing we did was have him sit on the potty every night before bed and once in the morning. When I would notice he was dry for awhile during the day I would offer the potty to him. This way he had the practice with the security of the diaper.

How we did it? First day completely naked. And sat a timer to take him to the bathroom every 40 minutes. By the end of the day it was every 60 minutes. He had one accident and he stopped peeing and ran to the toilet to finish peeing. He got two M&M for pee and then a little toy for poop. I took him to the dollar store the Friday before had him pick out little toys he wanted so he was excited about it. He also picked out the candy. Only spent 10 bucks. Also got a poster board and wrote: pee, poop, I tried, and uh oh for accidents. He got to put a sticker on the board under which one he did.

Day 2. Underwear. It was a little trickier because it “feels” like a diaper. But we only had three accidents and every time he stopped peeing ran to the toilet and finished.

Day 3. One accident. And we went out for two hours with no accidents.

Any who! You got this! Don’t push it :)
