When to wash clothing/bedding?

When did everyone start to wash the clothing and bedding before babies arrival? I don’t want to do it too early but am also worried about not getting it done in time

I did it around 32 weeks or so. After my baby shower once I had everything.

I've been doing bits and pieces as we get them. I had all of his clothes washed at 29 weeks that we purchased then his bedding once it came in. I have the crib and everything put together already. My baby shower is this weekend and will likely wash everything the following week to get it put away and out of sight. I like to have things prepared way in advance.
