Tbh for me, it's a little difficult.  While sitting on him( on knees kind of) Lean forward almost as if you were laying on him and get a good rhythm and hold on to something near his head. 

Straddle him and go to work. You may have to help insert his penis into you, but then you're in control. You can lean forward or backward, bounce a little, sort of grind on him, basically anything. Pretty much whatever you want to do as long as it stays in. Pay close attention to his reactions to your moves so that you can get a better idea of what he likes. Also keep tabs of what feels good to you. Just be comfortable with each other and understand that sex isn't always as picture perfect and glamorous as it is in movies. If you mess up and get embarrassed, so what? You get lots better with practice. The first time my boyfriend wanted me on top I had no idea what to do. Now I hop on top and ride him until we both give out! Sex is a lot of just experimenting and learning what works for you and your partner. Don't be afraid. Go for it!

Being on top is your chance to take control ;) "ride" him in a way that feels good for you because no matter what, it'll feel great for him. There's a lot of different ways you can do it but traditional "cowgirl" is like riding a horse but obviously a little more gently ;)
