Infidelity Debate!
I was watching some video on Facebook about some reality couple. The guy cheated and kept dancing around the answer. He took his girlfriend to dinner after allegations came out about him cheating as means of trying to earn her affection back. When she confronted him about the cheating... again, he made the statement, "I made my mistake and I'm trying to get over it."
What makes me upset with this is that she's expected to forgive him for betraying her in the most intimate way! What if the shoe was on the other foot? Why are you allowed to move on in this situation and she's not? Don't you think she deserves some time to decide if you're worth another shot?
I acknowledge that not all men cheat and women cheat as well. It's still wrong regardless! In this instance, I'm speaking on the man cheating because when men do so, we're expected to accept that behavior. It's ok for him to go cheat because we're supposed to wait for him at home with open legs.
What do you think?
Update 1: This is exciting! Y'all are really engaging! However, I'm not defending ANYONE cheating! You're overthinking it. I'm asking in 2019 why is it still more accepting for a man to cheat and be forgiven and not the woman? This is just a question that's not applicable to me personally, but women I know. NOW CARRY ON!
