Induction -what to expect ??

With my first baby, I went Into labor naturally at 41 wks exactly . Very smooth experience, However he was 9 lbs . So this time around they want to induce me two days after my due date on April 23rd! What should I expect ?! Hopefully baby comes next week on her own but wondering if there are any insights, tips or things I should be prepared for if I do have to get induced .... the anxiety is real ! Lol

I had a planned induction at 37w almost 3 weeks ago and if they start with cervadil and you feel contractions let the nurse know ASAP that’s all I gotta say it’s rare for cervadil to put you into active labor but it did for me, and it backfired but that’s a story for another day lol

Don’t stress too much because your body will take longer to dialate if you’re stressed. If you’re getting the epidural make sure you get it before your water gets broken or around 4-6cm by then you will be able to rest and will progress quickly. You can do it!

Why was it a problem that the baby was 9 lbs? If you didn’t have any complications than it wasn’t a problem, right? 🤷‍♀️
