Debt payoff stories?

Success stories?  Currently working on it?  Please share amount, what type, and the time it took to pay it off (if you’re comfortable of course).  I need inspiration 😭

I recommend Dave Ramsey! He has a great 7-step method. My husband read his book (Total Money Makeover) and I read his daughters book (Love Your Life Not Theirs). Both talk about the 7 baby steps, but her book was more of a “language/style” that I connected. Worth every penny for the $15-20 dollar book!

We follow Dave Ramsay as well and it's been so incredibly helpful. We will be completely debt free (we have just under 100k right now) in hopefully 2-3 years. Follow the baby steps and you'll get through this! We started with sooooooo much debt together, and even with being just under the 100k we don't feel like we are drowning any longer!

I was 10k in debt from an ex. He maxed out one of my cards and then left me for his side piece. I didn’t have a job at the time because of the arrangement we had. It was just gonna be for a couple of months. Anyways.. I paid it off within a year of getting a job. Only took me two weeks. Then I got my credit back up. Now I have 10k sitting in an emergency fund.
Money management is so important. My dad always taught me how important it was. I will never ever rely on anyone else. I also used the Dave Ramsey method and it helped me to pay it off faster than I thought I would, with still giving me extra spending money.

We follow Dave Ramsey! Between the two of us, we started $200k in student loans and will pay them off in just over three years. From there we plan on investing in real estate and once paid off, all of those funds will be extra money we place in our retirement.

My husband and I are getting close on paying off about 50k. About a year- year and a half from being dept free. Been paying 3 years
